“My wife, Talia and I have been looking for a home in the Tempe/Chandler area of Phoenix Arizona, since December 2013. Brian Neugebauer at RE/MAX Excalibur has been our realtor during this time. We moved across the continent from Montreal, QC, Canada due to employment.

During our many property visits; Brian has been very gracious with his time in answering our numerous questions. He has also provided a great deal of useful insight into Arizona home construction from his vast knowledge in carpentry and home renovation. Brian is very patient of our meticulous nature; as analytical scientists, my wife and I heavily scrutinize all aspects and details of potential homes. We are most certainly some of Brian’s more scrupulous clients, and yet he has always greeted us with the same warm friendly nature as on our first property visit.

Fairly recently, my wife and I proposed an offer on a property that was accepted by the seller. After reading through the HOA’s CC&R document, we had strong reservations against the amount of restrictions placed on the home owner, and thus rescinded our offer. It was a very emotional time for us as we were left with two options: find a non-HOA home in Phoenix, an arduous task no doubt, or move once again to another city.

Brian had spent many months helping us find a home. At this point, I fully expected him to tell us that finding a non-HOA home in Phoenix with our conditions would be extremely difficult. I imagine he would then wish us luck in doing so on our own.

Instead, Brian surprisingly said (and I am quoting his exact words) “You know what? I’m going to stick with you guys until either we find you a non-HOA home in Phoenix, or you decide to move on to another city. We’re like family, and I’m not going to abandon you guys because I know we’re going to find something for ya.” This is the perfect example of going well beyond one’s responsibilities to satisfy clients with such narrow home requirements, and fully illustrates the excellent RE/MAX mentality.

We strongly believe that Brian’s determination, attention to detail, and gentle nature should earn him a place in RE/MAX Hall of Fame once again this year, as he certainly deserves it.”

“Brian Neugebauer is a fantastic, personable Real Estate Agent. He first worked with us to sell our house in Chandler. Because of his extensive knowledge of the market and the condition of our house, he was able to get us an appraisal that set the price where we wanted it to be. The house sold quickly because he actively marketed it and followed up on all showings. At the closing of the sale, some problems arose, (not of his doing) and my wife and I were ready to quit and come back another day. But Brian would not give up, and with dogged determination, dug in to the problem and came up with a solution that worked.

Next, he worked with us to find a fantastic rental house in North Phoenix that was perfect for our needs. It was within our budget and, quite frankly, more home than we ever expected that to get in that part of Phoenix for that amount of rent. He worked quickly with the owner and negotiated the leasing terms that we wanted so that we were able to move in on schedule. Brian was active in the arena of showing us numerous houses that met our criteria. He recommended a lender for us, but when the lender didn’t work out as well as we wanted, he went to work to find someone who could accommodate our needs. Because of his extensive knowledge of available lenders, Brian found another loan source for us that worked out perfectly. Once the loan was approved, we began the search for our dream house in earnest. He was diligent in showing us available homes, while also honest in appraising how well they met our criteria. Simply stated, Brian sincerely wanted to make sure he found the perfect house for us. When we finally found the house that fit our needs to a T, Brian jumped into action, worked with us to develop an offer ($25 thousand below list price), sent in the offer immediately, and got the acceptance back— all within 24 hours! And he didn’t stop there.

He stayed with us through the inspections, managed and monitored corrections to deficiencies, and oversaw other details right up through our closing and move in. Throughout the entire home selling and buying processes, Brian always made sure that everything worked out as it should and all that actions were taken care of. He even coordinated with the original contractor, who fixed and flipped the house that we purchased, to take resolves issues found during the various inspections, and made sure that they were rectified to our satisfaction. Brian is an excellent real estate agent who can be trusted implicitly to do the best for his clients. He knows the ins and outs to all facets of home buying and selling. Not only is he a great realtor, he is extremely pleasant to be with, has an eternally positive outlook, and keeps his clients deliriously happy.
